This was AG LANs biggest LAN to date. During this time I was working in the Marketing Department at Antec, and was able to kick over some sponsorship prizes to the event.

Unfortunately I seemed to have lost any pictures I had of this event, and somehow some of my memories as well.

To supplement my faulty memory, here is the recap that was posted on the AG LAN Website:

[S]ummer [s]LAN 2006
Thanks to all who came to help make [S]ummer [s]LAN a huge success.

What a difference a year makes.
We kicked off our official second year with a SOLD OUT 70 man LAN. We've come quite a ways since our first LAN in December 2004 where we had just 20 gamers, to this past weekend, where we not only sold out 70 seats, but had to turn many people away. All we can say is: we couldn't have done it without all of you.

We want to thank our Sponsors - ATI, Bawls, Corsair, Geeks.com, Sk8SonH8, SomArts, and our newest sponsors, Antec and Wolfking, who have all at one point or another given us prizes to give away.

We also want to thank the members of TMC who have supported us since the beginning and continue to support us by promoting each and every of our LANs. A special thanks goes out to JonDoms who loaned us his 48-port Extreme Networks Gigabit Switch, which allowed us to host a pure Gigabit network for the first time. You guys ROCK!

Of course, we can't forget those of you who have come to all 5 Ascendancy Gaming LANs: Jack-the-Smack, Warhawk, Kraz, Kuyaglen, and Deionizer. Boondock, we'll give you an honorary mention since we know you would have been to last year's [S]ummer [s]LAN had you not been sick. I hope I haven't forgotten anybody, but if I have, let me know on the forums because you should definitely be recognized. It's people like you that kept Ginger1R1 and I going in our deficit-ridden first year of operation.

I'm sure everyone had a blast with the airsoft rifles we had in the back room. I know I did. Those were compliments of the guys from =|SA|= Clan who brought them here all the way from LA. It gave us that real live shooting fix that we have, but without the mess and 6 hour cleanup that paintball adds. And for that, I can't thank you enough. We hope you enjoyed [S]ummer [s]LAN and hope you can make it back for our next LAN in December.

Finally, the volunteer staff who made it all possible - Linda, Madeline, Henry, Grant, Jimmy, Teng, Ty, Johnny, Lun and Will - you're an amazing group of people.  From setup, to the event, all the way through takedown, you were right there tackling the jobs we couldn't get to.  Thank You.

I've added pictures from this weekend to the photo gallery. I'll be updating the site more once I catch up on some sleep, but for now, from all of us at Ascendancy Gaming, Thank You for making [S]ummer [s]LAN a success, and we hope to see you all in December.
