This was a smaller LAN and more impromptu in that I didnt write out an elaborate announcement/invition for it. If I had to guess, this was probably planned around Manticore visiting for the weekend from where he lived in Sacramento at the time. Based on the pictures it looks like we played a fair amount of Counter Strike, which was still faiurly new at this point. If we were running the latest version, it would have been CS 1.3. We had three additional PCs brought in from outside, with my 4 PCs this would have given us a total of 7 players possible. Although, from the pictures it appears there were only three of us on my room PC's.

Also worth mentioning. I had recently met a guy that was selling off a bunch of server and networking equipment from a failed startup he was a part of. I bought a couple rack mounted machines as well as 3 fancy (at the time) 3-com rack mountable switches. This was the first LAN I was able to put these switches to use.
