In May of 2004 Kaffine announced he would be hosting a LAN at his house that summer. I believe that he even put it up on lanparty dot com, which at the time was the best way to announce LAN events to the larger LAN community in the Bay Area. Shortly after the announcement, JonDoms joined the TMC forums and would become a fixture in the TMC community for years to come.

JonDoms showed up to Kaffine’s LAN and even brought with him a very nice (and expensive) network switch. It turned out he worked at the company that made them; and this would prove to be a valuable resource in later TMC hosted LAN events. 

Kaffine's family had a nice house in Los Gatos and the few LANS that were hosted there were always fun.
