Around this time, Mameman began hosting regular LAN parties at his house that he dubbed "Mameman Land". This was the second Mameman Land party, but there would end up being well over 20 in all. Mameman would host them about once a month, and they got a bit of a notorious reputation. The reason for this was mainly because Mameman was essentially a perpetual adolecent trapped in an adult body and he would let anyone do pretty much whatever they wanted.

This event was the first time I had visitied his house, but my impression of it was that it was pretty much what you would get if you let a teenager live in a house with absolutely no adult supervision. The furniture was very bachelor pad style, the carpet was filthy and the decor was everything a teenage boy would be into. Including horror movie and wrestling memorabilia proudly displayed on the mantlepiece and around the house; as well as oddities such as a "pet" black widow spider (why? Because its scary, I guess?).

Mamemans bedroom was part gamer den, and part sex dungeon. There were figurines from horrow movies and other popular movie francises around the room, along with a smattering of power puff girls memorabilia. One entire wall had a rack that proudly displayed a whole collection of whips and other BSDM gear.

Besides the initial sensory overload of taking in Mameman's unique style and home decor, the other most memorable part of this event was the weather. At the time, the outside temperature was approaching somewhere close to that of molten lava. Of course, the house itself did not have air conditioning, which made it basically an oven, with all the gaming PC's acting like space heaters to make it even hotter.

Manticore came with me to this LAN and at once point his hard drive gave out, probably due to the intense heat. I did not live far away, so was able to bring in one of my space PCs for him to play on.
