The 4th Octane LAN party maintained it's record of excellence last weekend with what looked to be their biggest turnout to date. This time the party was a full 24 hours, starting on Friday at 6 PM and ending on Saturday at 6 PM. This time around The Mowers Clan made a strong showing with a group of 5 people.

The major games that were played at the LAN were Medal of Honor, Counterstrike and the new Battlefield 1942. The Mowers clan stayed away from CS this time and stuck exclusively to the other two games. I felt that our clan as a whole did an excellent job in showing off our skills. We placed in the top 3 on almost every round and when it came time for the Medal of Honor Free For All Tournament, Warhawk just barely edged out QueMine for the win, and the coveted $50 gift certificate, by a margin of only one kill! Spiderman came in 4th, which gave the Mowers Clan the 1st, 2nd and 4th places in the tournament.

As for the rest of the tournament, the food was good, as always and the people were also extremely cool. There were no network problems this time either. The only thing that wasn't as good this time was the lack of cool nvidia stuff (only lanyards, stickers and glowing things), and the absence of any of the promised DJs. Not to mention the fact that the LAN was more expensive this time, $20 bucks as compared to the usual $10, but then again the LAN was twice as long and we were able to get the group discount of $15. So all in all it was an excellent LAN as always and I am definately planning on attending the next one.

Last weekend was the Octane 4 LAN party. We had a group of 5 that attended and we all kicked some major butt. The Mowers Clan placed 1st, 2nd and 4th in the Medal of Honor Free For All Tournament and usually placed in the top 3 in the regular rounds for MOH and Battlefield 1942. Everyone definately represented well and showed the other lanners that The Mowers Clan is a force to be feared! We also have a new member!
